Father, my memory is selective, and it is not selective in Your favour. I can recall every disappointment in detail, and I struggle to remember a single kindness from last week. So I am not going to ask You for better circumstances this morning. I am asking You to repair my memory.
Remind me of what You have already done. The prayers You answered that I quietly filed away. The provision I stopped noticing once it became normal. The ways You carried me through things I was certain would break me.
And where I cannot yet feel grateful, let me at least be honest about what is true. You have been good to me. That is not a mood, it is a record, and I want to learn to read it again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
