Eighty-four days. Twelve weeks. And now we arrive here — not at an ending, but at a milestone. And there is only one thing to say: God has been faithful.

“Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6 (WEB)
This is not a verse about human determination. It is not a verse about gritting your teeth and pushing through. It is a verse about the God who finishes what He starts.
Paul wrote these words to the Philippians from a prison cell, just like his words in 2 Timothy. And yet, his confidence is unshaken. Not because of his circumstances, but because of his God. “Being confident of this very thing” — Paul has staked everything on the character of God.
*He who began a good work in you.*
Go back to the beginning. Before you knew Him, He knew you. Before you chose Him, He chose you. Before you took a single step in this race, He marked out the course. The work He began in you is not an accident. It was intentional, purposed, and planned from before the foundation of the world.
This truth changes everything. It means your salvation is not fragile. It means your growth is not dependent on your perfect performance. It means the work God started — making you more like Christ — is guaranteed to be completed. Not because you’re strong, but because He is faithful.
