WALKING WITH JESUS • DAY 21 • PRAYER OF THE DAY
A Prayer for Finishing Well
Father, I want to finish well. I do not want to start with passion and fade away. I want to be among those who, at the end of their lives, can say with Paul: I have fought, I have finished, I have kept the faith.
But I know I cannot do this in my own strength. So I ask for perseverance. When I grow weary, renew my determination. When I am tempted to give up, remind me of the prize. When the path is hard, strengthen my resolve.
Help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith. And when I stumble, remind me that finishing well is not about being perfect — it is about never giving up.
I want to hear those words one day: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Until then, keep me walking.
