A Prayer for Recognising His Voice
Lord, I want to recognise Your voice. But so many voices compete for my attention — the world, my own thoughts, the opinions of others, the lies of the enemy. Teach me to distinguish Your voice from all the rest.
Your voice is the one that leads me to green pastures. Your voice is the one that speaks truth in love. Your voice is the one that calms my fears and guides my steps. Help me to tune my heart to Your frequency.
I commit to spending time in Your Word, for that is where You have already spoken clearly. I commit to silence, for that is where I learn to listen. And I commit to obedience, for that is where my hearing becomes clearer.
Speak, Lord. Your servant is listening. In Jesus’ name, amen.
