Philippians 4:11-13
“I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound… I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Paul’s contentment wasn’t a natural disposition — he learned it. And he learned it through every circumstance: hunger and abundance, need and plenty. The secret wasn’t better circumstances but Christ’s strength in every circumstance. Contentment is Christ-sufficiency, not self-sufficiency.
