1 Corinthians 13:4-7
“Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud… It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
Paul’s famous portrait of love sets an impossibly high standard — until we remember that this is a description of God Himself. This is how He loves us, and this is the love He pours into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We love because He first loved us.
