## Opening Reflection

If you’re reading this and you feel like you can’t go on — like you’re running on fumes, emotionally drained, and one more setback away from collapse — I want you to know something. You’re not alone. The desire to give up doesn’t mean your faith is weak. It means you’re human. And the God who sees your exhaustion hasn’t turned away. He’s closer than you think.

## Devotional

“Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.” — Galatians 6:9 (WEB)

Paul wrote these words to a church he loved deeply — a church that had faced opposition, false teaching, and internal conflict. They were tired. And Paul knew it. So he didn’t scold them. He encouraged them.

“Don’t grow weary in doing good.”

But what happens when you already *are* weary? What happens when “don’t give up” feels like one more thing you’re failing at?

Let’s be honest. There are seasons when life feels like an endless uphill climb. You pray, but heaven feels silent. You serve, but nobody notices. You keep showing up, but nothing seems to change. The fatigue isn’t just physical — it’s soul-deep.

If that’s where you are today, hear this: You don’t need a lecture. You don’t need someone to tell you to “try harder.” What you need is permission to be honest about how hard this is.

So let me say it plainly: This is hard. What you’re going through is genuinely difficult. And it’s okay to admit that.

But here’s what I also want you to know: Your weariness is not the end of the story. Paul’s promise is that there is a harvest waiting. “We will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.”

Notice the phrase “due season.” Not *your* season. Not *next week*. Due season — the right time, God’s time. The harvest is coming. It may not look like what you expected. It may not arrive on your timeline. But the seed you have planted — every prayer, every act of kindness, every moment you chose to keep going — none of it is wasted.

Think of a farmer. He plants seeds in the ground and then waits. He can’t make the seeds grow faster. He can’t force the harvest. All he can do is trust the process — water, tend, and wait. And one day, when the season is right, the harvest appears.

You are in a planting season. It’s hard work. It’s often invisible. But it is not pointless.

So what do you do when you feel like giving up? You take the next right step. Not the big, heroic step — just the next one. You rest when you need to. You ask for help. You let others carry you for a while. And you hold on to the promise that the harvest is coming.

You’ve made it this far. That’s not nothing. That’s evidence of grace. And the same grace that brought you here will carry you forward.

## Closing Reflection

What is the smallest possible step you can take today — not a huge leap, just one small step forward? Is there someone you can be honest with about how you’re feeling? Could you give yourself permission to rest without guilt?

—

## Prayer

Lord, I’m tired. Deep-down tired. The kind of tired that makes me want to stop. But I bring this weariness to You, because You are the One who gives strength to the weary and power to the weak. I don’t need a pep talk — I need Your presence. Please renew my strength. Help me take just the next step. And remind me that the harvest is coming, even when I can’t see it yet. Hold me steady until it arrives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
